Michael Elphick

Michael has been retained as a mediator, facilitator and consultant by independent and Catholic systemic school systems as well as individual schools and university colleges.
Michael has worked across a variety of sectors Including government, health, aged care, education, corrections, law, and community services.
Michael taught in the College of Global Studies Arcadia University, Philadelphia U.S.A from 2003 to 2016 while from 2003 to 2007 he was a sessional lecturer in the School of Education at Notre Dame University, Fremantle and Sydney.
From 2003 to 2006 Michael was an education officer with the Edmund Rice Centre for Justice & Community Education, managing several projects including the South Asia study visits and the Asian Pacific Law Internship Program. Michael has participated in human rights delegations to Israel/Palestine, Central America and South Africa.
Michael was a secondary school teacher in Catholic Systemic and Independent Schools from 1986 to 2002; he held numerous middle and senior management positions and remains highly regarded as an enthusiastic, engaging educator and as an effective school administrator.
Continuing a career long interest in human rights and community development Michael joined the Program Approval Committee of Mercy Works Incorporated in 2012. In 2019 he accepted an appointment to the Safeguarding Committee of the Columban Missionary Society (Australia).
